Sunscreen + Tervis Tumbler= Disaster

 

Here at our house, we are serious Tervis Tumbler folks. Having lived in the sunshine state for a short time a few years ago, where they originated and are sold all over,we have grown to love the insulated plastic. You can get them everywhere up here now. I can't even drink from glass anymore. It's Tervis or nothing! We have a whole cabinet full of these gems, that go with us everywhere. I'm seldom seen without one.

Hence the sunscreen on the outside of the cups.  The sunscreen will not come off. I tried hand washing, dishwasher, and even a Mr. Clean Magic Eraser. Nothing. So now we have some cups that appear to have a film on the outside. To most folks, they probably look dirty. Rest assured, they are clean.

And, apparently, they are protected from the sun!!

Melanoma has even indirectly managed to mess with my Tervis tumblers.... geez.
